The new Lume Edition is an evolution of the famous Seagull 1963 Chinese Air force Mechanical Chronograph.
This model is now available for purchase via Seagull 1963, the official online seller of Seagull watches.
As the name suggests, it comes with luminescent coating on the hour-markers (dotted) and hands that display the hour and minutes.
The movement beating inside is the Seagull ST1901 mechanical column-wheel chronograph calibre with Swan neck regulator. Beating at the rate of 21,600 vph, this 21 jewel hand-wound movement is capable of providing a power reserve of up to 42 hours.
Dressed in a polished stainless steel case, this model has a cream color dial featuring a bi-compax dial layout inspired by the historic models and its various interpretations.
The hands displaying the hour, minute, small seconds and 30 minute chronograph register are in blue color while the centre chronograph seconds hand is in red.
The Seagull 1963 Chronograph Lume Edition is available in two case sizes: 38mm and 40mm. It also comes with the choice of acrylic and sapphire crystal glasses. All models feature exhibition case-backs so that the owner can admire the beauty of mechanical movement.
The watch comes with a textile strap. Suitable leather straps and steel mesh bracelets are also available for purchase.
The selling price of the 38mm model with acrylic glass is €299 and with sapphire crystal is €315. The 40mm variant is presently available with sapphire crystal and it costs €325.
