The super sporty Pontos S has added a regatta function to its dial powered by the self-winding ML162 calibre. This timer, ideal for the summer months when water sports are all the rage, allows you to get ready for the race 10 minutes before it starts. The timer fans out from 10 to 2 o’ clock on the silver-tone sandblasted centre with a white-tipped hand which tracks the minutes in two areas: blue (ready, steady…) and red (go!). The hour rim bears applied luminescent indices and a white minute track on the black sunburst dial surrounding a scale to measure knots. Two luminescent rhodium-plated hands glide above the time functions. The internal bezel engraved on the minute track can be rotated by pressing the pusher at 2 o’ clock on the forged carbon 45mm case. The pusher also starts and stops the regatta function.
