Ok guys
Here's the whole story by mail with Citizen Germany...
and what happened to my NOS rare watch.....
me:
''Hello.
my name is Giorgos.
Last Friday i bought a Citizen Aqualand Professional Diver's aj0080-08e.
The store i bought it gave me 1 year guarantee stamped in a citizen booklet.
the numbers are 5503 F50212 TA
112085
Date of purchase and guaranty stampet is 2012/06/29
the watch store changed me a battery as it didn't worked.
and i left.
the watch worked fine for two days.
in the 3th day morning when i woke up at 8 it had stopped at 6:30.
i unscrew the crown, changed the time, put the crown in and it worked fine.
i thought it was just unluck
today when i woke up it didn't had the day-date changed.
i tried to change it by passing a whole 24 hour turn with the crown, but nothing.
tried with the quick set but that didn't work either.
i never wear wathes in my sleep.
i m a member in Greek watch forums and many international.
i know that i got an amazing piece of citizen watch history.
it is a nos watch and i really am in love with it.
can you help me?
can i send it to you to fix it?
is my guaranty functional?
thank you for your time.
best regards
Giorgos''
me:
''I am a Greek citizen.
but i ve heard so many good things about your service
best regards
Giorgos.''
Citizen Germany:
''
Dear Mr Giorgos,
thanks your mail.
Kindly pass the watch to your dealer for warranty.
with best regards
Citizen Watch Europe GmbH
After contacting with Greek authorised service i send it there.
waited to receive.
you will read above the whole story.
3 weeks later.....
me:
''
Hello once again.
The secretary of Mr. Anagnostopoulos just informed me that they send me back the watch with no charge at all.
I will update when I receive.
Thank you for your time.
Best rgrds
Giorgos''
Citizen Germany:
''
Dear Mr. M,
without any data and repair no. from Anagnostopouos we can’t find out any information.
Pls. contact again Anagnostopouos and let them following this matter.
With best regards
me:
''Dear sir. The first time i contacted with mr Anagnostopoulos he told me that the watch was not officially imported from Greek dealer and because the store I bought had opened it for battery change I had no warranty.
He told me that it must be the spring from tha day date wheel that was damaged.
He informed me that if he could repair it the price would be 40€
If he couldn't repair it he would change the whole movement with the cost of 70€ both including water resistance test.
I was a little curious because I don't know if you have parts from this watch with 5503 movement.
I asked if he would send the old parts back in case he would have to change something, because as I mentioned I am a member In Greek and international watch forums and I wanted to make a topic with my experience of the service.
And he agreed and told me that I will receive it with pay on delivery service when ready.
He told me that if it wasn't ready the next week it would be the next after that.
I agreed and told him to proceed.
I called last Friday,he wasn't available
Yesterday was the begging of the 3th week.Called again and her secretary told me that he wasn't there.
She told me that she will call me back with an update regarding my watch.
Never did.
I called this morning and she just informed me that the watch is ready, they send it back to me yesterday and didn't need any charge.
I am very worried.
I didn't received any update regarding my watch from mr. Anagnostopoulos.
Not even a tracking number.
And I am just waiting for my watch to arrive.
I hope everything goes well.....
I will keep you updated.
I worked 12 years as a car mechanic in an authorized Toyota repair service here in Greece.
You can confirm it checking my name with Toyota Europe.
The first thing we learned was to keep the customer satisfied.Period.
And to always inform the customer with an update on his/her repair of the vehicle
As I am not pleased from mr.Anagnostopoulos communication I really hope I will be with his work on my watch.
He is supposed to contact me,not the other way arround, correct me if I am wrong.
I will keep you updated
Thank you for your time.
Best regards
Giorgos''
me:
''Hello once again Sir.
an update.
just received the watch.
i am very dissapointed.
the watch works ok.
but the caseback has marks from unscrewing it.
and you can tell that he buffed the edges of the caseback.
i didn't asked free of charge.
i asked for a good work.
you can tell from the pictures the marks.
this watch is a very, very rare NOS piece.
with this marks it's value is lowered.
it also has a tiny scratch on the crystal.
sorry,i can't be able to photograph it.
i received the watch,
the warranty booklet and a tag with a number probably of the watch repair.
it has the same on the booklet written'' free of charge service''
not even a water ressistance test result.
very dissapointed.
i would like to hear an answer from your behaf as this Gentleman is authorised from Citizen to repair watches.
not to dammage them with marks and scuffs.
can i find a new caseback?
do you have availlable?
i don't want to contact with Mr Anagnostopoulos.
you can understand why.
a very dissapointed customer.....
Giorgos M.
p.s.
Please verify all the facts with your authorised service technician Anagnostopoulos''
me:
''And now i realise that Anagnostopoulos was avoiding me on the phone with an update on my watch repair because the dammage he caused on it.
and probably this is why he didn't charged me with money.
very
very dissapointed....''
me:
''
Hello dear Sir.
do you have any updates regarding my complains for Anagnostopoulos?
I will kindly be expexting a solution to the problem he caused to my very rare NOS watch.
Could you be kind enough to fix the dammage his authorised service center did/
Thank you for our time.
Best regards''
Citizen Germany:
''
Dear Mr. Giorgos M,
before we will give our comment, we ask any details from Mr Anagnostopoulos
and waiting his answer.
By the way, Mr Anagnostopoulos is the Distributor and service point for Citizen in Greece,
but he works under his one responsibility .
With best regards
mit freundlichen Grüßen
Service - Leitung''
Me:
''I totally agree with you.
but in the first plase i asked you if i can send it to you (because i told you i heard many great things about your service there, even i am a Greek citizen)
You told me to send it to the Dealed wich i believe Anagnostopoulos is the only one in Greece
He with such confiddence for himself over the phone,in our conversation he told me that he is the only one in Greece who can open a Citizen watch and still have a functional warranty.
A simple watchstore owner of authorised Citizen dealed i bought the watch changed the battery, opening the watch and didn't do any mark on it.
And Anagnostopoulos,he that by his saying is the one, made these marks to my beautiful watch.
Please i don't want to send to Anagnostopoulos the watch again.
I don't trust his work.
There was a very simple solution after the damage was done.
He could talk to me on the phone instead of avoiding me.
Explaining to me what happened.
He could have soursed me a new caseback cover and a new crystal.
And instead of not paying nothing and receiving a watch in this condition
I could have payed for the money he asked in the first place and along with the watch I would get those 2 new parts.
That is what I would have done.
Because that is the meaning of Aftersales Service I was trained for in Toyota.
''
me:
''
Dear Sir.
today i was examining my watch very carefull with naked eye.
the dammage is much bigger than i expected.
in the first picture you can see a dink-mark on the back of the case.
in the second you can see dinks-marks outer on the case from the rotating bezel
in the 3th 4th 5th you can see marks on the minute hand probably by trying to install them..
i really don't want to think what you can see more if you examine it with a loupe.
i m very dissapointed and sad with what has happened to me by an authorised Citizen service center.
If i knew that this would happen to my watch i never would have given it to Mr.Anagnostopoulos
i would really be expecting a solution as i have faith to a big Japanese Company like Citizen.
I can't believe that this has happened to my rare watch.''
Citizen Germany:
''Dear Mr. Giorgos M,
still we are waiting some comment from our Distributor in Greece.
Pls. note that your watch is born in 2001.
When you have a real reason to claim about the last repair, pls. contact again Anagnostopoulos.
We can’t take over any responsibility for whose repair quality.
First they should have a chance to handle this matter by themselves.
With best regards
mit freundlichen Grüßen
Service - Leitung''
Me:
''Contact with a mr. that was avoiding me on the phone to update with my watch's repair?
I don't think this is appropriate.
A thread with my cituation will be open to Greek watch forums and International
so you re telling me that all the dammage in my watch is not done by Mr.Anagnostopoulos.
as i told you when i was waiting for the watch to arrive i was worried by the treatment
so i recorded with my camera a video with the box from receiving it,opening it
and the marks are clearly shown.
do you want me to upload it to youtube and send you the link Sir?
or am i mistaken?
this is not a rare watch?
Can i find it again and buy it?
because i was looking for it for years.
do you have a new one availlable?''
And now i am waiting for a solution....
Guys this is what has happened to me.
I would like to apologise for my poor English.
I am very dissapointed and angry with myself letting this happen.
I should have never listened to Citizen Germany and send the watch to Greek authorised service...
There is a way to fix my problem.
the thing is if the company will respect their customer?...
we will see..
Thanks for reading
Giorgos M.

Me:
''What's so hard to believe???
The watch was bought brand new, new old stock a few weeks ago 29 July 2012 from a store in a Greek island and with a stamped warranty.
If you read any of the link I send you you would understand.
I know that this is a very rare watch.
And needed to be handled with care.
This is why I wanted citizen germany to perform the service, thing that they refused to me.
At least from now on I will know what to advise to peolpe asking me about your After Sales treatment.
Thank you for your time ''
So that's it.
I never will buy Citizen watches again
Or advise to any of my friends who ask my opinion.
If something happens to them like this that happened to me they will #@% me for advising them to buy a Citizen watch...
Thanks all you guys for your support.
